Dubai started as Middle East regional operations, and quickly grew to be the global headquarters for manufacturing operations.

“Dubai was the global operational home base for the Middle East, Africa, Europe, India and SE Asia.”  Regional logistics, sales and distribution operations were built, bought, sold, owned and operated across these regions based on the evolving telecom environment, network operator (new and incumbent) needs and device manufacturer requirements.

 In the early ’90’s telecoms deregulation opened the cellular markets by granting second operator licenses.  That change shaped how American company’s approached the new markets, bringing new telecoms carriers and building  local teams. Brad moved to England to open these new telecommunications markets.

His work abroad included Glenayre, Brightpoint Middle East, FONO and Workz Group spanning distribution, retail, supply-chain management and telecommunications technology. Workz later expanded into telecom card manufacturing, secure SIM card manufacturing, eSIM and remote provisioning.

The Journey

  • 1982

    Early Career in the United States

    Brad graduates from the University of Florida and begins his career in the United States.

  • 1991

    Move to England

    Brad moves to England to help develop Glenayre’s European business.

  • 1994

    Move to Dubai

    Brad moves to Dubai, which becomes the family’s long-term home.

  • 1997

    Workz Founded

    Brad Taylor and Tor Malmros found Workz.

  • 2010

    DUSU Established

    DUSU is established as the family’s private investment platform.

  • 2026-2027

    Return to the United States

    The family prepares to spend more time in the United States while maintaining its Dubai connections.
